Halo Infinite Will Apparently Get The Franchise’s ‘Coolest’ Master Chief

We don’t know too much about the upcoming Halo Infinite, but we do know we’re 100% ready to delve back into the Halo universe.

Although details of the game are thin on the ground, it sounds like we can expect some pretty great things – especially when it comes to the redesigned Master Chief.

Dan Chosich, Halo Infinite‘s narrative experience director along with community manager Brian Jarrard, appeared on the newest 343 Social Stream [via Gamespot] to talk about the new game and divulge some info on Master Chief’s new look.

During the stream, Chosich boasts: “It is by far the coolest Master Chief we have ever done, or that anybody’s ever really done,” referencing both 343 and Bungie.

You can check out some images and close-ups at around 53 mins into the Social Stream.

Although he’ll look a little similar to the Master Chief seen in Halo 2, 3, 4 and 5, we can expect something “a little different” in the new game. His final character model is still yet to be revealed.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have any gameplay to look at, with Jarrard telling fans it’s not yet the right time. Yet.

Even the Infinite trailer that was revealed back at E3 this year isn’t gameplay – it’s a demo for the game’s Slipspace Engine.

Halo Infinite doesn’t have a set release date yet, but rumours have been floating around for a while now. If they’re to be believed, the game could be launching in two parts with a single player release in 2019 and a multiplayer release in 2020.

It’s definitely an interesting idea, but we’re expecting the launch of the Xbox Two in either 2019 or 2020. How would a two-part Halo Infinite fit into the console’s launch…?
