Sony has release a new update for the PlayStation Vita bringing the firmware up to 3.18. The latest firmware update will add new stability issues to the handheld.
The latest PlayStation Vita firmware update to 3.18 is mandatory meaning that you’ll have to update and install the firmware before you can enjoy any of the network features offered through Sony.
According to the firmware update:
System software stability during use of some features has been improved.
Seems like it’s just a stability issue update but this could also stamp out some of the hacks and homebrews developers have released. Previous firmware updates have been worked around allowing PS Vita owners to download pirated PSP games and play them from their memory card.
