How To Strikethrough On Google Docs

Although it’s possible, one may not know how to strikethrough on Google Docs. Google Documents is a free, browser-based version of Microsoft Word that many people have started to use due to its free nature. It’s my document creation program of choice personally, which I use all the time.

When it comes to creating different subtexts in your document, or possibly showcasing some ideas that have now been made obsolete, you may want to use strikethrough. It is really easy to learn how to strikethrough on Google docs.

How to strikethrough on Google Docs
  • Step 1: Highlight all of the text that you would like to appear strikethrough.
  • Step 2: Select the word Format on the toolbar. 
  • Step 3: Select Strikethrough. Your text will be automatically updated with a strikethrough.

If you want to know how to more quickly use strikethrough, you can actually use a shortcut. On PC, you just need to highlight your text, then press Alt, Shift and 5 at the same time. If you are on Mac, you can highlight your text, then press the function key, Shift and X. If you can remember this key combination, it might save you some time if you are trying to be quick!

When it comes to strikethrough text, though it may be a simple thing to do, it’s a fun way to format what you mean and add subtext to what you are trying to put across in your document.
