How to install a Ring Doorbell
Step 1: Set up your Ring Doorbell on your Phone

Your Ring Doorbell will come with instructions on setting up an app, which will then allow you to get all of the recordings and other features your Ring Doorbell uses to function. This app is very straightforward and has you picking some key details about your doorbell so that it is better suited for you. You will need an internet connection for this.
Step 2: Placing the Mounting Bracket

When Installing a Ring Doorbell, you’ll start with the mounting bracket. This is the black, plastic rectangular bracket that arrives with your Ring Doorbell. You will want to insert the orange level into the middle of the bracket to ensure your bracket is going in properly. You will want to place your bracket against your wall in the place where you want your doorbell, ensuring that the mount is even and using the bubble on your level. Mark the four corner holes.
Step 3: Decide what holes you need

If you are installing your Ring Doorbell on masonry or stone, you will want to use a power tool to drill holes into your wall. This will ensure that there is a place for your screws and screw anchors to go through.
Once you have drilled a hole into your wall, you can push your anchors into place before continuing with your screws. If your wall is not made of masonry, you do not need to pre-drill holes and instead can instead just use the Philips head side of your included Ring screwdriver to screw in your screws.
Please note: if your wall is not flat, you will want to ensure you are not screwing in the bracket so hard that it bends, as your doorbell will not fit securely onto it.
Step 4: Mount the Ring Doorbell

You can then take your level out of the mounting bracket just by snapping it off. Now, it’s time to slide your Ring Doorbell onto the mount by positioning it over the slots in the bracket, pushing firmly onto them, and then sliding the Doorbell down. You should feel the Ring Doorbell lock into place – this may take a bit of a push.
Step 5: Screw the Ring Doorbell in place

On the bottom of your Ring Doorbell, there are two screws. You can use your Ring screwdriver’s smaller, star-shaped end to tighten these screws in place so that it is challenging for your Ring Doorbell to be removed and it is secured. Then that’s it, your doorbell is all in place.
