I am currently typing this article in Google docs because it’s what I use.
With so many features, I am sure you will be looking to find out how to change margins in Google Docs. This is useful when trying to fit pictures or text into a document. Let’s get into how to use this feature.
How To Change Margins In Google Docs
- Step 1: Select File on the toolbar, then Page Setup
- Step 2: Type the inches you want the margins to be, in the margins box. There are separate boxes for the top, bottom, left side and right side of your document.
- Step 3: Hit OK.
Your document will be automatically updated and content within it will be redistributed so that it will all fit. It’s a very simple process. You will find that if you regularly want your document to have a different margin size, you will need to readjust this per document.
It’s a bit of a pain, but often the margins are fine as default, so you probably only need to use this feature in some select documents. Hopefully, this guide has helped you learn how to change margins in Google Docs.
