Best Video Doorbell Without Subscriptions

The price of video doorbells is often on the expensive side. Many doorbells, like the Ring Doorbell, require a subscription to save the videos from your doorbell itself. These doorbell subscriptions are for cloud storage, allowing you to save and tap into any videos that are recorded on your device. However, more video doorbells are appearing that don’t need a subscription to work. So, we are going to look at the best video doorbell without subscriptions.

Eufy Security Wireless Doorbell

Eufy has its own wireless video doorbell that uses a Sony detector chip to provide a great picture to show what is going on in front of your home. It works very similar to other video doorbells, recording and alerting anyone going near it. This doorbell is also Alexa and Google voice compatible, with a 2k resolution. It can also be wired in if you don’t want to rely on battery life. When it comes to storage, there are no monthly fees. Instead, all of the footage can be stored locally, which is great for those not wanting a monthly charge.

Skybell HD Video Doorbell

The Skybell HD Video doorbell is a really sleek design – quite different from other doorbells on the market. Instead of a fisheye lens, the field of view is 180 degrees. This provides a clear picture of the outside of your house. The Skybell HD actually has full-colour night vision, which is rare when it comes to these doorbells. This doorbell also has cloud storage, but unlike the Ring, this storage is completely free and also doesn’t have a limit on how much you can store.

Amcrest Video Doorbell Camera Pro

The Amcrest Video Doorbell Camera Pro is another subscription-free video doorbell. This doorbell does record movement outside your door day and night, has a 1920×1080 resolution, and can send you alerts via email or notification through the app. However, one of the big differences between this doorbell and other doorbells is that it does not come with a battery. You can either wire it in, or purchase one separately. When it comes to subscriptions, there isn’t one. You can store your footage on the included MicroSD card, ensuring you have space to keep your recordings.

Arlo Video Doorbell

The Arlo video doorbell is a sleek looking, thin doorbell option that has quite a few differences from doorbells on the market. It can motion detect, day and night, and gives you alerts. However, these alerts are not notifications and are instead incoming calls. You do have local storage with this device, but you need an Arlo Smart Hub and an external SD Card or Hard Drive to use this feature. In addition, you have to view locally stored footage through home Wi-Fi. The Arlo video doorbell can be used with Alexa and Google Home devices, but there is a subscription that can be paired with the device to access more features. While this isn’t required to use, it’s something to consider.

There are actually a lot of different video doorbells to choose from, some with subscriptions and some without. These can widen the options you might want to look at.
