Looking to get your hands on a PlayStation Vita? Well, we may have some good news for you. Apparently, Amazon happens to have a stock of crystal white PS Vita consoles available for sell with just a $200 price tag. Normally, the only way to get your hands on a crystal white version of the PS Vita is by picking up the Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation bundle. The PS Vita consoles as of right now are limited in choice of color so the crystal white version may be a popular choice to run with but that won’t be the case for very long.
Sony has a second generation of the PS Vita coming down the pipeline. There hasn’t been a set date yet for an international release but the upcoming PS Vita will sport several colors. There are six colors total which includes white, black, blue, yellow, pink, and olive green. With the addition of color options there are a few more changes. The price point will drop, the OLED display will be swapped out for an LCD and the battery life will increase adding an extra hour of the once four hour battery lifetime.
Another reason that may actually tempt you with the purchase of a PS Vita in the near future is the recently announced PlayStation Now service. If you can recall, Sony purchased the online cloud streaming service known as Gaikai in which was later used to bring out a service called PlayStation Now. This service will allow gamers to fully play through video game titles just by streaming from a cloud through the use of powerful remote data centers. The service was just announced at this year’s CES and is currently taking up applications for Sony’s beta testing phase.
