Xbox One Prices Drops, ‘Slim’ Xbox Rumored to Debut at E3

Over the weekend, Microsoft dropped the price of Xbox One bundles by $50. Players can now purchase the gaming console starting at $299. This discount will be available until June 30. The timing of this price drop is impeccable, considering all of the stuff Microsoft plants to discuss at its E3 panel.

There are rumors of a slimmer Xbox console showing its face at this year’s E3 conference on June 13. There have been items filed with the Federal Communications Commission involving Microsoft testing a new Xbox One wireless chip. The Brazilian equivalent of the FCC is not as strict with its non-disclosure agreements, and photos have been posted online of the chip, as you can see below. It is also predicted that the “Xbox Slim” will have a 2TB hard drive, will be 40 percent smaller in size, and have 4k video support.

It looks like Microsoft will be putting up a fight with Sony for this year’s E3 conference. The competing console company already has a great line up predicted for their presentation, including the PlayStation Neo, PlayStation VR, and highly anticipated upcoming game reveals.

Microsoft may also be discussing “Project Helix,” at E3, which is an effort to merge Xbox and Windows 10 gaming. Either way, it looks like console gamers will not be disappointed with two major consoles debuting some awesome stuff to look forward to.
