This videogame allows you to play as an Emergency Services operator in NYC

The great city of New York is a miraculous wonder of human achievement, the richest 23 square mile island in the history of civilization.

Everyday millions of inhabitants go about their daily lives, living and working, and not giving a moment’s thought to the complexities of vital emergency systems in place to protect them from ever impending disaster.

Perhaps the greatest civic responsibility mankind has ever faced, it’s not a job for everybody.

And that’s why EmergeNYC isn’t your average simulator – it’s unique in the way that it’s based around the emergency services of New York City.

Made for fans of franchises like GTA and Emergency, it offers a refreshing balance between casual play and roleplay, by offering an accurate and realistic representation of New York’s finest and bravest.

Here’s how the developers of the project, Flipswitch Games describes it in their own words:

EmergeNYC is a genre-bending simulation of New York City’s Emergency Services. The game is set in a fictional dynamic open-world recreation of Manhattan and gives the players the opportunity to step foot in the shoes of a firefighter, police officer, or emergency medical services worker in the Big Apple. They are also able to act as a dispatcher or incident commander with the ability to manage an emergency scene or operation from above in a real time strategy fashion.

The game will be releasing for PC and Mac. If it’s funding campaign reaches its funding goal, it’ll also be releasing on PS4 and Xbox One.
