Bethesda has offered the players a large pool of creatures in Fallout 4. The Wasteland Workshop DLC also lets players capture those creatures and compel them to fight against each other, but doesn’t allow anyone to recruit them as companions.
A modder named steelfeathers, however, has taken care of that issue too. The new mod titled Beast Master allows the players to recruit Deathclaws as companions. The players who are interested in the Beast Master mod can download it from the Nexus mod website, but make sure that the Wasteland Workshop DLC is already installed.
Some of the assets of the DLC are used by the mod to capture the creatures.
The players can implant a chip using the mod into any creature, apart from humans. After the chip is implanted, the creature will start responding to their voice commands and fight with enemies. The players can also customize or modify the creature as per their wish using accessories or paint.
The mod’s companion system works almost the same as the existing system. It provides the players with chances to influence their opinion and mood. The author of the mod also stresses on the fact that the creature might attack the players if they are too displeased with their master.
The Beast Master mod also provides some other methods to tame the creatures by using the game’s perks. The players who have already unlocked the Wasteland Whisperer or Animal Friend perk will be able to tame the creatures just by communicating with them, and they won’t need to construct a chip.
The players will also be allowed to keep their vanilla companions along with their Beast Master companion at the same time.
Fallout 4 has already seen numerous mods but this mod fulfills the wishes of a lot of players who were wanting a Deathclaw companion in the game for a long time.
