We all know the common features of the deluxe/collector’s versions of games: an artwork booklet, statue, DLC, season passes, etc. You’d also be forgiven for thinking that an actual copy of the game was a given too.

Well, not with the collector’s edition of Battlefield 1 on Amazon. The game looks pretty incredible so far, but if you buy the collector’s edition, it looks like you’ll have to purchase the actual game separately.

The collector’s edition of Battlefield 1 was recently posted on Amazon. It boasts a pretty impressive package. Priced at $129.99, the description states:

  • The Battlefield 1 Amazon Exclusive Collector’s Edition includes Collector’s Edition Statue (14″ Tall), Exclusive Steel book, Exclusive cloth poster, Deck of playing cards, Messenger pigeon tube with exclusive DLC content, Exclusive patch, and Premium packaging. This bundle does not include the game

See that last sentence? We highlighted it in bold just so it sinks in. The collector’s edition doesn’t even include a copy of the game. You can pay $190 if you want the game to be included, but this still seems a little difficult to believe. The DLC included hasn’t been set out yet but the things that are included do look pretty cool.
