The ShareFactory PS4 application has been updated by Sony. The application will now allow the users to convert the captured gaming clips into animated GIFs. Users will now be able to edit their clips into low resolution GIFs easily.
You will need the latest version of Share Factory app. When you open the app, you’ll find an option which will let you create GIF. GIFs can be made from the already captured videos present on the system through the share button of the PS4.
After you chose the video, you’ll need to select a starting point from where you want to start the GIF. Once done, press the X button which will start preparing the GIF.
The Share Factory app will then make a 9 second GIF starting at the starting point you selected. You can also trim the GIF on both the ends if you wish to.
However, the application doesn’t provide you with an option to save the GIF, but you can share it easily. When you select the share option, you would be shown an option to Tweet it.
You can however choose not to Tweet the the GIF and it will then be saved to your system.
The saved GIFs can be found in your Capture Gallery app. Remember, they will not be shown in the game folder but in the Share Factory folder.
You can than export the GIF to any USB drive if you wish to use it for any other purpose.
