Six videogames that tried to fool gamers but failed miserably

You don’t want to get me started on this awful piece of work that was issued by a top tier publisher by the name of Sega. This game had nothing good about it because it had awful graphics compared to the trailer that was released, which turned out to be a big hoax. The AI was dumber than a door knob and the multiplayer could be compared to the EA’s server standards.

It had the sound of a toy phone and provided very unbalanced gameplay which left many players hiding in their corners and asking GameStop for a refund. What amazes me is that some of the fans got so angry at the developers that they even filled out a lawsuit stating that the gameplay and graphics were nothing like the the trailer, and that they were lied to. I guess in the end, you can’t even trust the publishers we love.

Call of Duty : Ghosts

Call of Duty: Ghosts has been termed as the beginning of the end for the Call of Duty franchise, and not without reason. The game was supposed to be the first “next-gen” Call of Duty shooter, and the level of hype it generated pre-release was insane. However, the game, to put it bluntly, sucked. It was possibly one of the worst Call of Duty games to date and failed to utilize the latest hardware resources, looking like a low-budget game.

Don’t even get us started on the story, which was just a rip-off from many Hollywood movies and felt forced all the way. The multiplayer was also not up to standards, and overall, fans got very upset at the quality of the game.

Ghosts paved the way for other poor quality Call of Duty titles and it’s just been a roller-coaster ride down for Activision ever since, at least with the Call of Duty franchise.
