Polish retailer leaks release date for Red Dead Redemption 2

Another day, another Red Dead Redemption 2 leak. We have to imagine Rockstar is going to frown upon this one, too.

A retailer in Poland has spilled the beans and given a release date for Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s not the first time a retailer has leaked this information. In previous leaks, it wasn’t really concrete and some people chalked it up as a placeholder date (Even when other placeholder dates on the same site defaulted to Dec 31, 2017 and the leaked date was much earlier.)

But this time around, there’s no getting it twisted, because a retailer called Media Markt said the release date is based on…

“information the marketing department received from the distributor of the product”

The date they’re giving is October 3rd, 2017, sooner than a lot of people expected.

However, since releasing the initial statement and leaking the date, they’ve backpedaled and said they have:

“no confirmed release date”

They even scrubbed the leaked date and replaced it with a placeholder.

Until Rockstar themselves announce the date (And even then, delays happen…), you can’t count on any of these leaks, but it’s interesting that the hints keep piling up. So, take it with a grain of salt for now until the game is actually in your hands, but based on multiple sources so far all signs point to a fall release.
