Sony Computer Entertainment Asia Japan and Sony Malaysia announced the details of the PlayStation 4 launch in the South East Asian country. The Playstation 4 will launch there on December 20th, one day after Singapore and Hong Kong, and will cost RM 1,799 ($562). That is for the vanilla version, for a bundled version of the console it could go as high as RM 1,969.
In addition to the PlayStation 4 itself, Sony will be releasing solo peripherals like the DualShock 4 (RM 249), DualShock 4 charger (RM 119), vertical stand (RM 99) and PlayStation Camera (RM 249).
It’s not as stinging as what Brazilian gamers will have to pay, but for a country with a lower average income it seems to pay a higher price.
Preorders will being anywhere between November 15th and December 13th.
