Microsoft to offer self-service refunds for Xbox One, details leaked

In an unexpected but welcome move, Microsoft is gearing up to offer self-service refunds to Xbox One and Windows 10 users.

An image posted on Reddit all but confirms that the company is planning to roll out this feature to everyone soon.

The image shows the announcement posted on the Insider dashboard for what looks to be Alpha ring testers.

The message clearly mentions that games are eligible for a self-service refund policy within 14 days from the date of purchase as long as you’ve less than 2 hours of playtime.

Although, Valve has a similar refund policy, this is a first for consoles and gives tough competition to both Sony and Nintendo, who doesn’t have any similar policies in place.

Check out the image below to know how you can apply for the refunds (if you wish) once the service rolls out –

Microsoft seems like it is on a mission to please its customers and this feature would go a long way in moving closer towards that noble goal.
