The sequel of the 2013 fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among us has been announced. The new game will be known as Injustice 2.
The game has now been only announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and no details have been provided for other platforms yet. The prequel, however was released across most of the platforms including PS4, PS3, Android, iOS, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and Wii U.

The trailer of the game is seen emphasizing a lot on the gears of the characters and developer NetherRealm Studios thinks it’ll play a big part in the game. The players will get to customize their superhero characters and create their own versions.
NetherRealm’s Creative Director, Ed Boon said via a statement, “Injustice 2, we are introducing new features that will change the way fans play fighting games. We’re always interested in pushing the genre forward and allowing players to customize and level-up their favorite DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains is a significant leap.”
President of Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment David Haddad added, “Expanding the DC Universe in games continues to be one of our top priorities, and Injustice 2 showcases amazing gameplay and an original story to bring the characters to life for players. NetherRealm Studios is offering fans an experience of customizing and battling with DC’s iconic characters in an entirely new way.”
Injustice 2 will continue from where the story left in its prequel and Batman will keep fighting along with his allies against Superman’s autocracies. The Injustice universe will also see some new characters who will join the fight and a possible “new threat” will emerge which will put the planet at risk.
Injustice 2 is scheduled to release in 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One.
