Holocaust Museum flooded with Pokemon Go players, urges them to stop

Seems like Pokémon are popping up in all sorts of places.

The most recent of which? The Holocaust Museum in District Columbia. They’ve made it pretty clear they don’t want people heading in and catching Pokémon inside – after witnessing several people doing just that. In an official statement, they said:

Playing the game is not appropriate in the museum, which is a memorial to the victims of Nazism. We are trying to find out if we can get the museum excluded from the game.

We’ve also seen people visiting police stations, private property, and so on trying to catch them all.

It’s unclear how Niantic plan to deal with these issues moving forward – if they consider them issues, that is. Me? I’d consider all of the above to be pretty big issues, some more than others. Hopefully something is done, soon.

Until then, try to remain considerate on your quest for that all important Pokémon you’ve been after. Stay safe out there, Trainers.
