The new teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has finally dropped

In time for the festive season, a new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has dropped.

The teaser shows familiar faces Miles Morales and Gwen Stacey, as well as new characters voiced by Issa Rae and Daniel Kaluuya.

For those that don’t know, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the sequel to 2018’s award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The first film introduced Miles Morales and Gwen Stacey as two of the many Spider-people scattered across the multiverse.

Originally, the animated multiverse movie was set to be released in October 2022. However, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will now premiere in cinemas in June 2023.

What characters feature in the new Spider-Man trailer?

In the showcase, we are reunited with main characters Miles Morales, Gwen Stacey and Peter B. Parker. The trio are voiced by Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld and also Jake Johnson, respectively.

Elsewhere, we are also treated to a glimpse of some new faces. These include Miguel O’Hara, AKA Spider-Man 2099 (voiced by Oscar Isaac), Jessica Drew, AKA Spider-Woman (voiced by Issa Rae) and Hobie Brown, AKA Spider-Punk.

The trailer also features even more Spider-Man cameos. These include The Bombastic Bag-Man, PlayStation’s Spider-Man and also the Mangaverse Spider-Man. There’s even a tribute to Spider-Man’s creator, Stan Lee, too!

Multiple multiverse visits are on the horizon

As well as a plethora of new characters, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will also feature a staggering six animation styles.

As each animation style is unique – can we expect to visit at least six different Spider-Verses during the movie? Here’s hoping!
