Crackdown 3 is almost finished with development

It’s been nearly 7 years since the second Crackdown game came out exclusively on Xbox 360 in the summer of 2010. It was relatively well-received at the time, but went on to become a cult classic. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Crackdown’s arrival into the current generation ever since.

We’re happy to report that development is coming along well. Some had hoped we would see the game in 2016, but the team has said that would have compromised their goals with the game. Glad to hear they’re taking their time on this one, however that can also worry fans, because sometimes delays happen due to disasters, rather than trying to make the game perfect and iron out all the details.

Crackdown 3 will be available for Xbox One and PC, but there isn’t a release date yet.

According to an insider named shinobi602, things are coming along fine, and most importantly the game isn’t on the verge of being cancelled.

Granted, things haven’t been coming along perfect, there have been obstacles and challenges, but the team is tackling them and pushing forward. That’s to be expected in game development, and is no cause for alarm yet.

This isn’t from an official source so take it with a grain of salt, but it’s nice to get some news that things are coming along.
