Ubisoft has released a new video featuring Associate Producer Sylvain Trottier explaining the new next gen tech used to generate the open world of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Within the developers show off the complex layers of filters and textures to create the most realistic looking water and behaving oceans ever.
Likewise they’ve had to get the ships working so they can change immediately from an object to be steered to an environment that can be traversed by both player and eneey alike.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will come out on the PlayStation 3 and other current gen platforms on October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe. It will also be available launch day for the PlayStation 4.
